| Professional Church Worker Awareness |
Grace-Cincinnati is hosting an all youth event called Professional Church Workers Awareness Day on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church located at 3628 Boudinot Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio. We will hear from Pastors, a Lutheran School Teacher, a Deaconess, and a DCE. There will be a display of handouts from the Concordia University System.
Following the presentations there will be large screen video games, snacks and drinks (of course) and more. All youth are welcome, the event is free. Please register by September 15 by calling 513-661-5166 or e-mail ministry@gracemin.org

| Foundations of Faith Development |
The first Ohio District Foundations of Faith Development for Early Childhood Directors and Teachers is on October 1 & 2 in Columbus. This Semniar has been created in response to centers requesting ways to give directors and teachers a consistent foundation in the basics of teaching in a Lutheran center. Only $25 covers 2 meals and the seminar materials. The registration deadline is September 10. Below you will find the seminar information links. |
| LAOS Trolley Tour - October 2, 2010 |
The annual Lutheran Agencies Organized in Service (LAOS) Trolley Tour is happening on Saturday, October 2, 2010. There will be two tours. One tour is targeted to a younger crowd that will be faster-paced with hands-on service activities. This is a great opportunity for youth groups and confirmation classes to learn more about Lutheran social ministry in action in Cleveland. The other, more traditional LAOS tour will be for those who want to relax and learn at a slower pace. The tour is from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and begins at Lutheran Hospital on West 25th Street in Cleveland. |

| Appalachian Literacy Project Heads to Charleston WV |
 Redeemer Lutheran Church in Charleston, WV has moved its distribution of Hear Me Read! Bibles to Sunday, Sept. 26 as part of the Appalachian Children's Literacy Project. Deaconess Deanna Cheadle will coordinate the distribution with leaders from Redeemer Lutheran Church.
