Early Childhood Education in the Ohio District includes birth through kindergarten. Varying age ranges are served in our early childhood centers operated by individual Lutheran congregations. Our elementary schools also offer early childhood education programs.
Assistance and support are provided to our centers by school superintendent Gordon Stuckert and early childhood cabinet members Lisa Creager (NW Ohio), Laurie Schneider (NE Ohio), Lori Salyer (NE Ohio), Anja Vincent (NE Ohio), Bonnie Stottlemyer (Southern Ohio, WV, and Northern KY), Jeannie O'Shaughnessy (Southern Ohio, WV, and Northern KY), and Gil Schepmann (Southern Ohio, WV, and Northern KY).
6,671 students were enrolled in Ohio District early childhood through grade 12 schools as of fall, 2007.

GOD STRONG is the theme chosen by the Ohio District Youth Ministry Team for the 2009 - 2010 year. With every theme chosen by the YMT there is always meaningful Scripture text that goes along with it. The theme verses come from 1 Timothy 2:1 - 4 & 7 . . ."You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the One who enlisted him. . . .Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this."
