David K. Reimann Gathering Scholarship Fund Established

For years here in the Ohio District a fund has been available to assist youth in attending one of our District youth gatherings. This could be the Sr. High Gathering or either of the Jr. High Gatherings. It's always been called the Ohio District Gathering Scholarship Fund.

As of March 2008, the name has been changed to the David K. Reimann Gathering Scholarship Fund.

As many know, Pastor Reimann was the chairperson for the Ohio District Board of Youth Services for nine years. The maximum length of service (under the former District guidelines). When his term was complete and he set his sights on serving the Lord and His people in other ways, PD (as he was lovingly called) said that the youth of the Ohio District would always be important to him and that he would continue to serve them in any way that God would lead him.

On January 15, 2008, Pastor Reimann was called by God to live eternally with Him.

It is in Pastor Reimann's memory and in support of his ministry, that the Ohio District Gathering Scholarship Fund bears his name. It is funded in part by the offerings collected at the District events annually. For the Jr. High Gathering of 2008, 23 youth received portions of the $1000 available.
