Student Financial Aid & Recruitment
The Ohio District LCMS Student Financial Aid & Recruitment program provides financial assistance to those students who fit the following criteria:
- Student must be a member of an Ohio District LCMS congregation;
- Student who is enrolled at one of the LCMS seminaries or one of the colleges or universities of the Concordia University System;
- Student intends to enter into full-time church work (Pastor, Lutheran School Teacher, DCE, Deaconess, etc.).
Important Instructions For Applicants:
- Prior to downloading the forms, please read the Rules and Regulations.
- All applicants must submit new forms each new school year.
- Please follow-up with your pastor and stay in touch with the college financial aid office to be sure they forward your forms in a timely manner.
- If you transfer to another Concordia college or discontinue your studies, please advise the Ohio District Office as soon as possible.
Forms
Applicants must complete and sign the District Financial Aid Application Form (sent to the financial aid office of respective institution), the Pastor Evaluation Form and the Repayment Agreement (sent to the Ohio District office) along with a Photograph of themselves.
Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, offers financial assistance to eligible individuls for education beyond high school. Click here to learn more.
Remember to get PELL Grant and/or FAF forms from the college financial aid office. Complete these forms and immediately send them to the appropriate government office. Request that results be sent to applicant’s college financial aid office for completing the application. The college financial aid office will forward the results to our office.
If information about the amount of eligibility under the PELL grant comes to the applicant (usually a code number), send this to the college’s financial aid office and make sure they get it on the form to be forwarded to the Ohio District Office.
