Haiti Video
 The video of the President Cripe's recent mission trip to Haiti is now available here. President Cripe visited Haiti in February along with representative of the Oklahoma District, LCMS. The Haiti Mission is the focus of the 2008 Pentecost Offering.

Every effort will be made to connect you to a Lutheran congregation near the school which you are attending.
The IRS has announced new mileage rates for the remainder of 2008.
 The Youth Ministry Team has set the schedule for the coming year's youth events. Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Christian's Life for Me! will be the overall theme.
The dates for the 2008 - 09 Ohio District Gatherings are:
- The Senior High Youth Gathering, November 21 - 23 at the Marriott Northwest in Dublin
- Junior High Gathering I in Cincinnati, March 6 - 8
- Junior High Gathering II at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, March 13 - 15
 The Lutheran Messenger is a monthly tabloid newspaper full of news from the Northeast Ohio Lutheran community. Published 10 times a year, The Messenger serves as an evangelical resource for 8,000 homes and 200 Lutheran churches, schools, and agencies in eight counties. (Combined issues are published in December/January and in July/August.)

12 Step Process to a Successful Building Project
The ODLCEF has developed a 12-step process that is a helpful guide to congregations, schools and other district organizations interested in a building or renovation project. Following the guide and making use of the resources available from the ODLCEF will make the difficult task of building go smoother.
Student Financial Aid & Recruitment
The Ohio District LCMS Student Financial Aid & Recruitment program provides financial assistance to those students who fit the following criteria:
- Student must be a member of an Ohio District LCMS congregation;
- Student who is enrolled at one of the LCMS seminaries or one of the colleges or universities of the Concordia University System;
- Student intends to enter into full-time church work (Pastor, Lutheran School Teacher, DCE, Deaconess, etc.).

 In January 2008, Eustolio Gomez, Concordia Plans Services, presented a well-received pre-retirement seminar for the professional church workers of the Ohio District, LCMS. An indexed video recording of his presentation is now available.
 In the Greater Cleveland area, LMM and the Ohio District, LCMS, have enjoyed a strong partnership in human care ministry since the 1960's. Learn about LMM and how its several ministry areas are expressing Christian commitment to reach out in loving service to build a caring and just community.

A pastoral vacancy is often a difficult experience for the Congregation. It can also be a time of growth, as God's people step forward to keep ministries going and even increase their support. It is a great time for self-examination and goal setting.

The Michigan District is sponsoring a Gathering for high school youth on Mackinac Island, June 29 - July 2, 2008. They have not reached the maximum number of registrants, so, extended an invitation to the youth of the Ohio District.

NLSA is a process of self-evaluation followed by a visiting team of objective observers designed to help Lutheran schools improve the quality of their programs.

Net Worth is, simply, the difference between what you own and what you owe. It is also known as a Balance Sheet. The Net Worth can be determined by subtracting the liabilities (what you owe) from the assets (what you own).

The budget is one of the most misunderstood documents. It is usually thought of as restrictive, but it should be seen simply as a tool. The Retirement Cash Flow Projection worksheet is a method to consider what your income and expenses will be before and after retirement. Even if you are young and retirement is a long way off, you should complete this worksheet periodically (perhaps every 5 years). As retirement nears (probably at least 10 years before the date) the frequency should increase so that within 5 years of retirement it will be completed on an annual basis (even more often in the last year before retirement).
