SOUTHEAST REGION

On November 3-4, 2017, Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 766 South High Street , (in the heart of historic German Village) Columbus, Ohio will have their 10th Annual Conference on the Lutheran Confessions with theme centered around celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. You'll have the opportunity to: Learn from lectures presented by Dr. Wilhelm "Torgy" Torgerson of Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary; Participate in three worship services; and; Enjoy fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ! Registration is FREE for all students and seminarians; $10 (if registered before October 25th; $15 after) for all others. Registration includes dinner, breakfast, lunch and of course, gem├╝tlichkeit. The first issue of a Lutheran newsletter on the subject of Human Trafficking has been produced. The project of Rev. John Hohe (Beautiful Savior-Powell), Sarah Esala and Jean Moffit, this newsletter seeks to make Lutherans more aware of the issue as well as volunteer opportunities. NORTH CENTRAL REGION

The audience has a role to play at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church's drama production, The Trial of Job, playing November 5, 2017, at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM at 2113 Ravenna Street in Hudson. The public is invited to this faith-building musical for all ages and stages of life. Read more  HERE

NORTHEAST REGION

The Lutheran Church in Hitler's Germany will be the topic of a lecture given by an eye witness, the Rev. Horst Hoyer, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2928 Scranton Road in Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM. The report will include the forming of the provincial churches (Landeskirche), Christian warfare under the Reichsbischof the forming of the confessional church and the "German Christian theology" (Deutsche Christen). Based on a history of a Lutheran congregation which found their future in an independent Synod after its pastor was exiled. All are welcome. For information call the church office at (216) 781-9511.
