Mr. Travis Grulke, Superintendent of Schools for the Ohio District, has announced his acceptance of the call to be Superintendent of Schools for the Michigan District.

Mr. Grulke began his teaching career at Redeemer Lutheran Church and School in Cuyahoga Falls, in 2001. In 2007 he became their principal, and in 2013, accepted the call to be Superintendent of Schools for the Ohio District, replacing Mr. Gordon Stuckert, who retired.

In a letter to the Ohio District Board of Directors, Travis wrote, "I will be forever grateful to the Ohio District for fostering my growth as an educator/leader over the past sixteen years since graduating from Concordia. I am especially thankful for the opportunity to serve as your Superintendent over the past four years. You gave a "young" Lutheran administrator a chance to have a prominent role in our District. With the Good Lord's guidance, I pray that I have been a blessing to our congregations and schools and represented you well among those we are privileged to serve."

President Cripe adds, "The Ohio District staff has been blessed to have Travis these four years. His high energy level, talents, and commitment to Lutheran education will be a blessing to the Michigan District. And the Spartans will be happy to have another in-state fan."
