As Bethany school is growing, please pray that God will provide workers for His harvest field as we serve so many families in our community. God is good, and He is doing great things at BLS!
St. John Lutheran Church – Garfield Heights, Ohio
The Board here asks for prayers for God's guidance and blessings on our outreach to Garfield Heights and surrounding communities. Especially, His Kidz, our Basketball programs and other events: The Pathway to Easter and Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Rummage Sale and Treat-n-Trunk in the Fall.
Miscellaneous Requests:
From the LCMS Northern Illinois District:
We will hold our first-ever SHINE! event during April 14-23. We’re encouraging all of our members across our district to engage in acts of service toward members of their communities. It’s been a bit of work trying to get our ducks in a row, but we’re seeing some registrations coming in. So please pray specifically for a great number of participants (I’ve ordered 3,000 t-shirts for people to wear while they’re serving), a feeling of unity and fellowship, and that God’s name would be glorified in all of these acts of service.
The second request is for the Lord to raise up and show us a leader for our intercultural group. We had a great leader working to bring different ethnic worshipping groups to the table for discussion and next steps forward. He took a call out of our district and the group is pretty much at a stand-still.
And of course, I’d ask for prayers for President Buss and our district’s board of directors as they steer the work of the LCMS NID.
